The psi-moon: 2,999,404 AD
Now that it was illuminated, the path through the forest was infinitely easier to follow. In spite of the exhaustion all around, the rest of the walk seemed to take no time at all.
The familiar blue box lay on its side on top of the hill, in the shattered remains of what once had been a tower.
"This is new," said Stephen, tilting his head quizzically as he walked around the bottom of the ship. "Is the door in the ceiling now?"
"Oh, no, it's still in the side. Take a look." Unlocking the door, the Doctor lifted it open.
Stephen peered in, fascinated. One end of the Doctor's scarf swung off of his shoulders as he leaned closer, and he gasped as it bent where the gravity changed, hanging unsupported in an L-shape in midair.
"I guess it could be worse," he said, taking a deep breath and hoisting himself up onto the bottom edge of the box. "As they say . . . allons-y!"
"Um, Stephen?" began the Wørd.
She vanished before finishing the sentence, as Stephen let himself drop through the opening. The next sound was a loud thump and a muffled curse from within.
"Well, that was rather silly of him," remarked the Doctor, walking around to the top of the TARDIS and getting his hands under the edge. "Come give me a hand, Sarah Jane."
"Right away, Doctor." The ship was not only smaller on the outside, but lighter. It only took a minute for the two of them to hoist it up onto its feet again.
"Why didn't you tell me you could do that?" demanded Stephen, rubbing a bruised shoulder, as the pair walked in unscathed.
The Doctor turned wide eyes on him. "You didn't ask!"

The psi-moon: 2,999,404 AD
As they opened the TARDIS doors, Stephen turned suddenly to the Wørd. "Do you want to stay?"
The papilløn blinked her red eyes rapidly at him. "Are You Trying To Get Rid Of Me?" she asked, only half-teasing.
"No, no, not at all!" exclaimed Stephen. "It's just . . . you seem to be enjoying yourself with an actual body. Once we leave the psi-moon, you'll be all psychic again. Not to mention stuck in my head, which can't be much fun."
"Mental Or Physical, It's Still Your Mind."
"But if we left, if you were the only person here, then the psi-moon would reshape itself to reflect you. You'd be physical and on a world of your own making, with nothing of me to hold you back."
For the briefest of moments, the Wørd considered it, before decidedly rejecting the idea. She had no interest in spending the rest of her life seeing only the things her own mind had created. "Don't Be Silly," she said dismissively. "What Would You Do Without Me?"
"I got by without you for years," said Stephen quietly. "I could manage it again. If you really want to be here, I don't want you leaving just for my sake."
She wouldn't have arms for much longer, so the Wørd took the opportunity to put one of them around Stephen's shoulders. "I Don't Want To Stay Here," she said firmly. "I Want To See More Of The Universe. And I Can Think Of No More Entertaining Person To See It With."
