WIP meme

I will post the names of all the files in my WIP folder(s), regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Choose one [or more], and I will post a random line or two.

My WIP folder has a ton of filetypes and formats, including PNGs (finished but unposted art), PSPs (unfinished art), JPGs (reference pictures for things I want to do), and TXTs containing meta and fanmix ideas. For meme intents and purposes, I'll limit it to TXTs with fics. When there are multiple chapters in multiple files, I've only included #1.

All .txt files, with the content to be posted into a DW "Update Journal" field. As you can see, they tend to start out as vague descriptions of what's in them, and get nice pretty filenames when I've come up with a title. On the other hand, that doesn't mean the nicely-formatted ones are all finished - sometimes the title is the first thing I come up with...

Easy! - "Five Times - dom!l!Stephen"

The full title is "Five Times Stephen Was Awkward At This Whole Dom Thing." Which is perhaps wishful thinking, as I don't even have five full scenarios yet.


"I don't mean the sex." Stephen's thumb brushes over Jon's lips. He's up on his elbow, leaning over Jon's side, hoping that Jon being flat on his back isn't a too-subtle signal for Stephen to shut up and let him sleep. "I—I mean the part where you act like you've never—and I get to reassure you."

Jon's eyes pop open. The look in them unnerves Stephen, which is silly, right? He shouldn't go trusting his own gut over Jon's words.

It's a relief when Jon starts to giggle, shattered when he laughs, "Oh my god, you thought that was a scene."

That one's actually a dumping ground for all my genderswap-related ideas, including a bunch of notes and some Jon/Stephanie stuff as well as Joan/Stephanie...



Hefting himself up from the mattress, Tracy wrapped his arms around Joan's shoulders, tucking his head against her shoulder and leaning into the silver curls that gathered at her neck.

"You'd keep me in the loop, right?" he asked quietly. "I mean, I don't need all the details — though that would be hot — but you would tell me how things were going."

Let me just add my weight behind the push for Jon/"Stephanie. Lots of fascinating possibilities in that one.

This one is in good shape...but I'm thinking of completely rewriting it anyway XD



George squirmed with such excitement that Stephen could barely fasten the water wings. "Is it always this hot in Californ'a? How come Mr. Steve and Miss Nancy have a pool an' we don't? Are you coming in the water with me?"

"I'm gonna lie in the sun for a while," said Stephen, doing up the last snap. "Some of us are pasty Irish Catholics who need all the tanning time we can get. You have fun, okay?"

Can't you do another one of these? It would be interesting to see if your WIP folder has grown or shrunk since last.

Also I'd be interested to know your fic-vs-art speed ratio.

Sure thing! Just posted...and it looks like it's grown, whoops.

The speed doesn't really depend on the format. If I'm on a roll with a thing, whether it's a story or a drawing or anything else, it can get finished in a day or two. If I'm not...it can sit around for years :/
