Summary:

Living in a world with daemons, Steven adapts a lot faster to the whole "part of you is a semi-separate entity that you can have a conversation with" idea. And the way Zillah coordinates with Marc makes it easier to imagine himself doing the same.

Unfortunately, it doesn't redirect the whole plot. It just forces Harrow to play hardball earlier.
