You know, I don't really feel sorry for "Stephen." Yeah, he's being given a hard time, but it'll be transitory. He needs this, just like Jon's alternate needs Stephen's influence. It'll be a learning experience for both of them, and by the end, they'll both have learned a valuable lesson. Erm... I predict. ;)
It's great to see Jon's alternate being depicted as something other than a carbon copy of his, for want of a better word, original. It's all very logical too. You've clearly put a lot of thought into this, and I love me some good plotting. Looking forward to learning more about the... erm... mirror!TDS, and I hope we get to see Stephen hosting the mirror!TCR.
