I've seen the interview, and the original comment (it, along with the apology, is in a collection of celebrity apologies called My Bad!). And that's my basis for vilifying him in the first place, but it's always a little uncomfortable because it's such a big stretch.
Even the real-life O'Reilly harassed but did not abuse or extort. (But I'm a little more comfortable writing that into fiction. Partly because the TCR folks already did.)
