I'm finding "Stephen" and "Jon" really incredibly adorable, which is impressive. Upon reading the first two chapters I thought my sympathy would lie mostly with Stephen - he's trapped in a pretty harsh place (people are scared of him, and don't even know what you've done with his family yet), while "Stephen" is surrounded by people who care about Stephen and are really concerned.

Yet now I'm really more worried about "Stephen." I mean he's delicate, isn't he? One big bundle of repression and neuroses.
