I'm also a little nonplussed in terms of how I should feel about Jon. I sort of think, I guess, that fic!Jon, from probably more than half of the fic I've read, has more in common with your "Jon" than with your actual!Jon. I mean, I think I can predict what "Jon" will do next, but I'm not so confident in my ability to read Jon. So I'm really curious to see how this plays out for me! :D
