Mix - Hellsing: London In Memoriam
Fandom: Hellsing
Title: London In Memoriam
Legend tells us that Kōta Hirano once visited London, where he had such a bad time that he decided to destroy it. Given the agonizingly slow pace at which he draws manga, the city has been going up in flames for a few years now.
Here are some songs for London, and supernatural battles, and lost homes.
With different art, this could double as a Doctor Who mix. As it is, the cover illustration is from Hellsing, volume 7, chapter 8.
Blackmore's Night . Streets of London
So how can you tell me you're lonely
And say for you that the sun don't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind
Metric . London Halflife
Oh watch out
You're only better off with half your life
Otherwise wasted
House of cards, you fall hard
London Philharmonic Orchestra . Time
[Instrumental Pink Floyd cover]
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over
Thought I'd something more to say
The Magnetic Fields . Swinging London
Planets crash, the world goes nova
Sun explodes, all goes black
You went off swinging London
And forgot to come back
The Clash . London Calling
London calling to the faraway towns
Now that war is declared-and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, all you boys and girls...
London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, an' go it alone
London calling upon the zombies of death...
London calling, see we ain't got no highs
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes
Jess Klein . Dark Room
C’mon release me
C’mon let me out
Into the heathen fight
I wanna see the gritty streets of London
Before the dawn hits light
D. C. Simpson . If I Can't Get To London
If I can't get to London, there's killers on my trail
If I can't get to London, darkness will prevail
I have to get to London, I have to be that strong
If I can't get to London, then everything is gone
Black dog in the night
A shadow of a shadow of the light
Simon & Garfunkel . Homeward Bound
I wish I was
Homeward bound
Home, where my thought's escaping
Home, where my music's playing
Home, where my love lies
Waiting silently for me
London Philharmonic Orchestra . Nobody Home
[Instrumental Pink Floyd cover]
I've got electric light
And I've got second sight
I've got amazing powers of observation
And that is how I know
When I try to get through
On the telephone to you
There'll be nobody home
Genesis . Afterglow
Like the dust that settles all around me
I must find a new home
The ways and holes that used to give me shelter
Are all as one to me now
But I, I would search everywhere
Just to hear your call
And walk upon stranger roads than this one
In a world I used to know before
I miss you more
