I don't want to make any promises, because they would probably jinx me...but up until a week or so ago this was a vague theoretical idea, and now it's 4000+ actual typed words. So it's looking promising!

*comes back* OH MY GOD please tell me you intend to write more because no ending of any series this angsty and good is complete without Jon/Stephen. (I'm only partially joking about this)

Ohhh, I definitely intend to write more. I even plan on untangling Stephen from this net he's gotten himself snared in...as soon as I figure out how.

That said, this isn't going in a J/"S" direction, and never has been. Sex and romance with Jon aren't what Stephen needs, or even really what he wants. It wouldn't solve anything to have them hook up, and it would wreck the narrative integrity in the process. (Plus, it's one of the few 'verses I've written where they're just plain sexually incompatible, so it would almost be worth keeping just for the sake of diversity.)

Ha, I actually wasn't referring to J/S in the hard-and-true (LOL hard) fashion. Still, Jon and Stephen are the best of friends, and they need to make up still if I remember rightly from Embers... :D
