Seamus' first instinct is exactly the same as yours. But I couldn't have gotten away with turning Chuck into a one-dimensional villain - nobody who's seen SWC would have bought it. Not that Seamus can just turn on magical powers of forgiveness at Chuck's revelations, either. (Nor should he.)
