Seamus' first instinct is exactly the same as yours. But I couldn't have gotten away with turning Chuck into a one-dimensional villain - nobody who's seen SWC would have bought it. Not that Seamus can just turn on magical powers of forgiveness at Chuck's revelations, either. (Nor should he.)

So, thorny moral quagmires with no easy answers all around. As Jerri would say: good times.
