Waited until the end of the story to comment SO IT'S BIG

You brilliant, wonderful, darling person, YOU. I have been putting off reading your longer stories until I had a chance to savor them and tonight was finally the perfect time WHAT A TREAT OH MY GOD.... (okay, now to attempt coherency...)

Too many excellent lines to repeat, but a few favorite elements - as always, your ability to explore the nuances between Jon and Stephen's relationships in and out of character, combined with explorations of their individual characters..just breathtaking. And despite the utter wibbly adorableness that is "Stephen", the delightfully sweet nosh that is "Jon", and the compassionate clever loving man that is Stephen - Jon is still my favorite of them all. I love that he doesn't get it right away, that it takes him the longest to treat "Stephen" like a person, and I love his lightly worn authority that "Jon" usually lacks.

On a personal note - Stephen praying the rosary and the final reveal of Quetzlcoatl were both lovely moments for me. I was raised Catholic (though I no longer practice) and my family background is Mexican so at first I was just touched and pleased with the mention of Stephen's faith, but when I pictures the feathers I pictured white ones.... When I read the description of the multitude of colors and knew what was coming I literally teared up.

Everyone else has already commented on the META GLEE, Jon^2 defending Stephen^2, and Stephen reassuring "himself", so I choose this:

This was his face with all of those reversed. It was like looking at a living portrait. It was himself as others saw him.

My god woman. ::sniffs:: THANK YOU.
