I didn't want to have the "here" side of the story stalled in the "what's going on?" stage for too long; it would have gone in circles, when the really interesting part is how the writers interact with their character come to life. So, yeah, I rushed it a little, I know. (It would have gotten really boring otherwise, believe me.)

So now this story has been illuminating for people regarding "Stephen", "Jon", and Jon. That's very cool.
