LOVED the kiss and the accompanying illustration; they made me go all melty inside. *sigh*

I totally did not expect Charlene to show up, but I adored this line:

"He's not baggage. He'll never be baggage. What I mean is ... well, to make a long story short, it would be a loveless sham relationship designed to conceal from the public, and occasionally myself, the fact that I'm gay."

Just so bizarrely sweet, just like the rest of it. Off to read the epilogue.
