He made sure to pick a new animal every time he did this sort of thing. It wouldn't do to have his kids make specific strong associations of fear and pursuit with, oh, let's say, bears.

Oh man. The idea of Jon parenting with, in the back of his mind at all times, "If I fail at this, my children could turn into Stephen"----it's sort of hilarious, and interesting, like it's an aspect of the whole thing I hadn't thought about before.

Stephen on C-SPAN was absolutely win. I'm surprised that Bush let him come, after the whole WHCD fiasco---or was it not a fiasco in this universe? I assumed it would still be awkward, but for different reasons, or something.

Oh, and the Stephen Emergency Medical Plan, Step One: Save Stephen, Step Two: Get Jon...aw, Stephen. He's so adorable.
