From the criticisms I've heard, it seems like the series would fall in exactly the wrong place for him. The sub character makes too much realistic protest to read it as a "secretly-wants-it" fantasy, but the dom is too boundary-crossing and inconsiderate to read it as a healthy love story about negotiation and discovery.

At this point his sexuality has been dragged out in public anyway, so he may as well own it =)
