"So far," mumbled Stephen, so close that Jon didn't hear it so much as feel the vibrations of the words against his jaw, "this is the best year ever."
The whole story was beautiful, but that line made me tear up & grin.
I love family stories, and I especially love the romance of incorporating Jon into the family at the same time Stephen is figuring out how to reincorporate himself! The revelation that Stephen didn't believe all his children were his was a little punch in the gut, but I love the way Jon reacted & reinforced the bo d that does exist from raising them. Also liked Jon's conversations with Lorrie, trying to be straight with her. Aaaand, "his holiness" ADORABLE XD
