How to get access to locked fics:

If you have a Dreamwidth account, comment here or subscribe to [personal profile] ptahrrific to be given access.

If you don't have a DW account, they're free! Head to and sign yourself up.

If you don't have a DW account, and don't want one, you can also be given access through any LiveJournal or other OpenID-enabled account. Just use it to sign in here, then comment or subscribe.

Step-by-step instructions for using OpenID:

Step One: Go to, the OpenID sign-in page.

Step Two: Type in your LJ username in the handy box, the second thing highlighted in this image:

Step Three: You'll be sent to a LiveJournal screen, asking if you're okay with being logged in on DW. Click one of the "Yes" buttons:

Step Four: You're logged in! Relax and enjoy the ability to leave as many signed-in comments as you like.

If you were trying to read a locked post, go to step five.

Step Five: Check to see if you can now read the post. If not, stop by while logged in with your OpenID account. (In the following screenshot, you can see me signed in as Then click the "Subscribe" button:

Step Five And A Half: Sit back; relax; make yourself a pot of tea. When I see that you've subscribed, I'll give you access.

Step Six: That's it! You now have full, unfettered access to my scary twisted darkfics (and shameless smutfics, and tragic deathfics) until the end of time. Congratulations. (...I think.)

Do I need to ask for access? DW confuses me.

I'm pretty sure you're the one who wrote it - the dystopia where either Huckabee or Sarah Palin won in 2008? I've been looking for it for ages. I absolutely loved it and I wanted to read it again.

Oh, thank you! I remember the pregnant Stephen one of yours - I think that one is fantastic and I love it. I've read more of your stuff than that. Thing With Feathers, I think another one was called, also amazing! I look forward to reading everything in the locked posts, and eventually every single thing you have written.
