Title: Dangers Untold And Podcasts Unnumbered
Fandom: Labyrinth, Hello From The Magic Tavern
Characters/Pairings: Arnie Niekamp/Sarah Williams, Jareth, Usidore, Chunt
Rating: G

When Arnie disappears off the face of the Earth, and there are traces of magic lingering around the Burger King, Sarah has a feeling she knows who's behind it.

But Jareth swears he wasn't involved.

A story about goblins, magic, interdimensional boon companions, and reordering space and time for the one you love.

( 'Your destiny is to return to Earth at some time in the future. Perhaps years in the future. After fighting your way through the standard adventuring package — dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, that sort of thing.' )

Title: Did You Hear The One About The Comedian And The Werewolf?
Fandom: Fake News
Characters/Pairings: "Stephen"/Jon, Lorraine
Rating: G

Jon gets himself locked in Stephen's apartment on a full-moon night.

A story about forcefields, leftovers, primitive instincts, burnt offerings, the non-reality-based scientific community, bed-sharing, and trying not to use the words "flying monkey."

( Every horror movie Jon had ever seen flashed helpfully through his mind. This was the point in the script where the most-doomed character would say something like ha ha, Stephen, quit crawling around making doggy noises to scare me!, and five seconds later get brutally mauled while the rest of the cast screamed and fled for the next part of the set. )

Title: Cecil On The N.T.A. (1/2)
Fandom: Welcome to Night Vale, His Dark Materials
Characters/Pairings: Cecil(/Carlos), Dana, ???/???
Rating: T
Disclaimer/warnings: See the His Dark Materials AU masterpost.

"Subway" with daemons, in two parts. (It was originally supposed to be a one-shot, then it doubled. As these things do.)

Part one: Cecil wanders into the newly-formed Night Vale subway...and ends up trapped for several years, away from his boyfriend, his daemon, and his home. Being a radio professional, of course, he documents the whole experience on tape. These are those recordings.

This goes with the big long His Dark Materials AU, but you can probably read it as a standalone, too. Just know that Carlos studies Dust, Khoshekh is Cecil's daemon, and Cecil has weird vision, an alethiometer, and a witch's range.

Title is a play on the Kingston Trio's "M.T.A.", featuring the immortal lyrics "Did he ever return / No, he never returned / And his fate is still unlearned / He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Night Vale Boston / He's the man who never returned...."

( I have started marking off the days with tally marks carved into the wall at the back of my seat. The long-faced whistling passengers did not seem to approve of this public vandalism, but we are pulling away from another stop at which they got off, so I do not have to worry about their disapproval any longer. )

D/sverse, high school/college AU. Stephen's family doesn't believe in sending uncollared submissives to college, so Jon offers to collar him, at least through graduation. Cue a year of awkward deception, GSA shenanigans, platonic bed-sharing, one threatening incident with a certain pushy senior, and the triumph of the power of unrecognized romantic attraction friendship.

One of the shorter entries for my [community profile] longfic_bingo card, prompt "collar" or "pretend relationship". (This is Stephen's collar, by the way [source].) Mirror on the AO3.

8) Prompt: Stephen's tirade on election night. "Then you realise you made a terrible mistake but it will be too late, you had the chance but you rejected him and now [Mitt Romney] will never want your [vote] again." We all know he meant "Jon" instead of "Mitt" and "love" instead of "vote."

The long-deferred romantic tension between Jon and Stephen ignites in the beginning of 2012. Trouble is, Jon's in something of an altered state of mind, thanks to that sudden infusion of unlimited and untraced cash....

With the defining themes of the Bush administration becoming clear, the odd-couple symbiosis that drives The Daily Show with Stephen Colbert hits rocky ground. Oh, and the building is haunted. Because evidently our heroes can't catch a break.

Alternate universe. In 1998, the staff of The Daily Show (including star correspondent Stephen Colbert) gets a new addition: deaf writer Jon Stewart. Cue an otherwise familiar blend of jokes, politics, a young series finding its feet, and a long-term intimate relationship starting to bloom.

For purposes of this story, ASL will be indicated by italics, spoken English by quotation marks, and typed English by being set off in various ways. Working off a kink meme prompt: "A Sentinel/Guide AU (in a similar vein to Observations on Sentinels and Guides in Victorian London or Jeeves and the Uncommon Senses) where Sentinels and Guides are a normal part of life. "Stephen" is a Guide who has been repressing everything to do with empathy, and Jon is a Sentinel who Does Not Want that kind of responsibility. IT'S DONE.

The liberal AU version of "Stephen" brings his queer kinky Jewish boyfriend to a Fourth of July barbecue with his old-fashioned Southern Evangelicatholic Republican family. Hijinks ensue.

This is unrelated to previous connected liberal!Stephen stories: it's post-divorce for Jon, a wifeless AU for Stephen, with them in an established relationship featuring BDSM using stoplight safewords.

And seriously, having it finished is a minor miracle. This poor fic has been a WIP since 2009. The It Gets Better Project, same-sex marriage laws in New York, and Anderson Cooper all came out while it was in progress.

Scenes from Artemis' past life, growing up and having girl trouble. In any other era, with any other girls, this wouldn't even have been a footnote to history; but these are princesses and royal advisors, in the twilight of the Silver Millennium.

For the Magical Girl Fic/Art Swap 2011; also here on the AO3. The princesses' names come from epithets used for their respective gods in Roman mythology, while their parents are named for the corresponding Greek gods. Part of the Expectingverse, from the spring before The Interview. The Stewart and Colbert families have practically moved in together, but most of the world still doesn't see Jon and Stephen's relationship for what it is. Stephen thought he'd be okay with that. When Jon has to be rushed to the hospital, he thinks again.

For my [community profile] hc_bingo card, prompt "invisibility."

It wasn't easy to defy the pleading of a dozen eager children, but after three innings Jon begged a rest and all but staggered over to one of Stephen's wicker lawn chairs to catch his breath. )
