ptahrrific: Jon and Stephen, "Believe in the me who believes in you" (fake news)
Medium: Television (fancomic)
Fandom: The Daily Show/The Colbert Report
Subject: Fake News Rumble
Title: Good Guys, Bad Guys, And Explosions
Warnings: Large images; spoilers through the Chapter Four preview

A fanmix for the incredibly epic comic Fake News Rumble. In which Dick Cheney is an alien overlord out to destroy the world, and only the superpowered staff of the Daily Show stand in his way.

I've been wanting to draw chibis of these characters for a while now, because their designs (all in the artist's DA gallery) are amazing. Larger versions of the art.

Medium: Television
Fandom: The Colbert Report
Subject: Teenage AU "Stephen"/Jon
Title: Your Last First Kiss

For the sandbox challenge: a mix for the Childhood Sweethearts AU by [personal profile] politicette and [personal profile] themistoklis. (Is there an index post for it yet?) Present-day AU which Jon and Stephen grow up together (which leaves teenage Stephen significantly less screwed-up), and end up running off to Boston to get married.

Summary: A fluffy double drabble (i.e., 200 words exactly, not counting the title), written for one of the unclaimed prompts over at [livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest: 1086. Punditslash, Tad/Bobby, Something happens and now Stephen knows about their relationship. How do they handle being out to their boss, and how does Stephen's own repressed sexuality come into play?

In the summer when Bobby turned six, his parents got an addition built on their house. )

Title: The Pun Was Too Good T'Eschew
Rating: PG
Characters/pairings: Stephen, Meg
Disclaimer: See above.

Summary: And another, with a slightly sadistic twist: 1079. Punditslash, Character!Stephen Colbert and Meg the intern, To Stephen, hitting on women is a way to force his sexuality into line. When Meg refuses his advances on the grounds that she's a lesbian (and it's *sexual harassment*) he decides that they can 'help' each other become straight. Meg is forced to teach Stephen a few things.

(You may want to do some background reading first.)

'Better do something heterosexual, just to make sure.' )

Title: Put That In Your Pipe And Smoke It
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Language, violence, injury, allusions to past skeeviness, Stephen being Stephen (yes, still).
Characters/pairings: Jon, liberal!"Stephen" (one-sided shippiness)
Disclaimer: All television shows, movies, books, and other copyrighted material referred to in this work, and the characters, settings, and events thereof, are the properties of their respective owners. Summary: Missed the sign-up window for [livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest, but this prompt was left an orphan, so I decided to take a crack at it: 1081. Per 10-02-07, we have a canon AU in which "Stephen" is ~fabulously~ liberal. What does his sexuality mean in that universe?

Since conservative "Stephen" is repressed, authoritarian, and narrowminded, liberal "Stephen" is overexpressive, permissive, and, as Robert Frost put it, too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel. This was supposed to be amusing, but got kind of depressing at the end. Whoops.

(Can I say how much it amuses me that one of the edits to Wikipedia's "International Friendship Day" page was made by a user named Bramlet Abercrombie? Random crossovers FTW.)

'I was only helping them break out of society's limiting notions of sexuality! Specifically, the limit that says you're not allowed to explore it with your handsome and dashing boss.' )

Thing the First:

The Expectingverse marches on: [personal profile] stellar_dust wrote a ficlet!

It's called Two Omelets, found over in [livejournal.com profile] andthatstheword.

The story is locked, because it's wife!fic, but joining is free. Takes place when George is about five, and it's basically wonderful from the disclaimer ("This story is an AU of an AU of an AU of reality...") onward.

Thing the Second:

Truthiness And Relative Dimensions In Space got nominated in the Children of Time awards! It's under the Crossover category in the Classic Who section.

The CoT awards have sparked a lot of flailing around fandom, but shh, let me feel honored anyway.

The voting forms are here, open until March 5. If you want help sorting through the choices, [livejournal.com profile] cot_tossed is providing thoughtful and excellent reviews of all the nominees. (Although I say this before they've gotten to my entry, so it may backfire if they end up not liking it. Fingers crossed.)

Title: Five Times Chuck And Stephen Had Sex (Mostly With Each Other)
Rating: R
Pairings: "Stephen"/OMC, "Stephen"/Chuck, Chuck/Geoffrey
Contents: Sex, language, alcohol, injuries, teacher/student kink, bondage, damaged people damaging each other, obscure 1984 reference

One last Secret Santa prompt from [livejournal.com profile] fakenews_fanfic: Chuck/"Stephen", lots of sex.

Five scenes with Chuck and Stephen, featuring leather-clad bikers, bar fights, kinky sex, Madame Precious dolls, and a bit of Geoffrey and Seamus.

Title: Fixing A Hole
Rating: One of these is R; the rest are G
Pairings/Characters: Sarah Jane/Maria, with a bit of Luke, Clyde, Rani, and K-9
Disclaimer: Property of the Beeb.
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] elisbelle, in an exchange at [livejournal.com profile] the_second_time

I don't really know how to classify this. It's a story, in mix form, illustrated. And, as per the prompt, it's all Beatles (with a bit of Sarah Jane's glasses thrown in).

You are so sweet and so near - I'm sure to fall in love with you. )

Title: Slow Me Down
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Language; adult diapers; nitpicky details of Senatorial procedure
Characters/pairings: Jon/"Stephen", Sam, Larry, John-O, Lewis, Kristen, others

They didn't think anybody would be obtuse enough to filibuster this one. They underestimated Stephen Colbert (R-SC).

For a Secret Santa prompt requesting Jon/"Stephen" in an AU with no families, in which they're not necessarily newsmen - thus spawning the Senateverse. Title is Emmy Rossum's [lyrics]. Some lines are from this ThreatDown and this "overnight" broadcast.

'We co-sponsored one bill! Why does everyone think that makes us BFFs?' )

Title: One, Two, Three, Twist, Bam
Series: TDS RPF, Strangers With Candy
Characters/Pairings: Stephen/girl!Jon; one-sided Jerri/Tammi and Jerri/girl!Jon; Orlando (all alone, poor guy)
Rating: NC-17
N.B.: Drugs, genderbending, geek talk, bad words, masturbation, het sex (sort of), Jerri being Jerri, Aliens Mystic Recipes Made Them Do It. Also, this starts off as slapstick, then gets angsty, then turns into quasi-serious het porn, which reads like lesbian porn, but with male pronouns/dirty talk. The author has no idea how to warn for this.

For a Secret Santa prompt requesting Jon/Stephen, genderbending, and someone from SWC.

High school AU in the little town of Flatpoint. After a particularly wild party, Jon wakes up with a problem more unusual than a hangover. Can Stephen, the other local D&D geeks, and the illicit-chemical expertise of Jerri Blank put him (...her?) back to rights?

(Now with art!)

Title: Hedgehog's Dilemma
Rating: G

For a prompt in the [livejournal.com profile] fakenews_fanfic 2007 Secret Santa: "hedgehog's dilemma", with an appearance (sort of) by John King. Wasn't sure if people would know what the hedgehog's dilemma is, so I brought an actual hedgehog in to illustrate.

'No, it just got its head stuck in a McFlurry cup. Almost starved before someone found it and brought it in.' )

Title: The Parts Of Management They Don't Tell You About
Rating: PG
Pairing: Tad/Bobby, with a side of "Stephen"/Tad
Two disclaimers, with love )

Summary: Being a manager on TCR has a world of challenges that you won't find on any other job. Fortunately, Tad and Bobby have each other to lean on.

Bobby took him in at a glance. Thick glasses. Full lips. Tacky bow tie. )
